Home brewing is a fun hobby that will introduce you to many different possibilities, constantly learning new things and for many, it becomes an obsession. Enjoy the journey, as this hobby offers many different ways to find your voice, and many various ways to accomplish the ultimate goal–delicious home made beer!The internet is a great resource for information on brewing beer. There is a vast amount of information available, and it can be overwhelming. That is why I created my blog, to help introduce the newbie to world of home brewing. Beer brewing at home can be as simple as learning a couple recipes and repeating them, to diving right in and learning all you can about the many different styles of beer and different types of brewing processes.One thing that really draws people into this hobby is the fact that you are constantly learning. Once you have the basics down, you can expand in any number of directions; there is no “one” way to brew beer.With so many varieties and variables, it never gets boring! You can also choose to keep it basic–expanding and experimenting isn’t for everyone, and some just prefer to make a simple batch of brew from time to time. It is up to the individual to find what styles and methods work best for them. However, you literally can learn new tricks constantly, and this allows you to become a better brewer over time and with experience.You can keep it basic with a simple brewing kit, and maybe a handful of recipes, without jumping in with both feet, and that is perfectly fine. But for so many that start brewing beer, they get passionate, if not obsessed as they learn more and more about the world of brewing. They will expand their home brewing set up, try different recipes and ingredients, and even create their own hand crafted brews based on what they learn on their own as well as what they learn from others.You may not think you will become obsessed by this hobby, but that is what many home brewers thought when they first started. The basic process of brewing is the same, however, after you have that foundation there are numerous ways you can progress from there.There are three different basic types of home brewing: extract brewing, partial mash brewing and all grain brewing. There are many different styles of beer to brew. No matter which method you choose, it is important to learn as much about the process as you can.
