Matchmaking – Should You Celebrate Anniversaries

Are special occasions unique ? They definitely are, especially if you are celebrating your wedding anniversary. But is there a different level of expectation when it comes to your dating relationship anniversary?

There is a another expectancy about that and most individuals don’t expect to honor the dating relationship anniversary as much as the traditionally honored role of the wedding anniversary. Is that acceptably healthy? It comes down to the fact that a marriage is obviously a more serious life commitment than a dating relationship. However, anniversaries in the dating relationship should be marked and celebrated.

Your matchmaking skills do not stop when you meet your unique someone . We always would like to be working hard at our companionship and a way we can do that is to honor those milestones in your companionship . You may not want to mark your first week together or first month etc; that could very easily send your date running right out of the building because he or she could think you are looking for a long term partner too soon in the relationship .

However, it is not unheard of to see a couple celebrating their half year dating relationship anniversary. It’s even more usual to see the one -year anniversary celebrated . You need to find what works ideally for you and your partner . If you’re partner is not the sentimental kind , they may not highly enjoy the excitement of such occasions ; however, hopefully your partner will understand how much this act of celebrating means to you and he or she will celebrate in it.

You need to continue your matchmaking skills throughout your companionship and consider the consequences of adding relationship . Celebrating occasions and finding simple things to stand out in your companionship will add a whole new thought of emotional health and well being to your companionship . Remember to celebrate all mutual special days in your lives together , like your birthdays and any other special days. Make every holiday a special celebration as well and be sure to spend time together as much as you can on those free days .

If you are in a long-term committed relationship, you don’t need to wait until the wedding bells ring before you start celebrating holidays with one another and making new memories . For example, if you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, begin some new customs with your partner . Growing up as kids , we all had various passions that we celebrated with our loved ones during our holidays , so now that you are in a committed romantic partnership , start a new custom together that is special just for the two of you and if you do proceed to get married in the future and then have kids , you can include them in this new family custom as well.

Keep your matchmaking efforts fresh and new and learn to seize the day and celebrate every moment that you and your partner share together. Create reasons to celebrate if you think you don’t have any. Life is too short; learn to celebrate it.
