It will restore your power of using your free will and remove the ‘victim’ within you. Because you have been told so many times in your life that you cannot do this or cannot do that, you began to use this belief dogma to accept your addiction as being too difficult to quit. By reclaiming your power of making conscious choices you will be able to break the self-fulfilling ‘I can’t’ pattern in your life for good. This will become a great asset in every part of your life.Ending the AddictionBefore you decide to stop smoking (or any other addiction), make sure that you are aware of the following points:
Make ending your addiction a priority in your life.
Don’t try to make too many other changes in your life at the same time.
Don’t reward yourself for ending the habit; quitting is enough of a reward.
It is good not to tell anyone about your intention to stop smoking because this only undermines your freedom to choose to smoke.
Carry your cigarettes or tobacco with you, so you can choose to smoke whenever you decide to. Also, people will assume you are still smoking; this way you don’t have to prove to anyone that you are capable of quitting the habit.
Unless for health reasons, don’t try to avoid places where other people smoke; you want to remain in charge under all circumstances.
Realize that unless you are traveling on an airplane or a bus you are always free to smoke whenever you wish to, even if you have to do it out in the cold air.
Avoid substituting things like tea, coffee, chocolate, chewing gum, more exercise, drinking mineral water, etc. for cigarettes, as they won’t satisfy your desire to smoke in the long run.
Choose a starting time of your program to stop smoking that does not coincide with an emotional upheaval or stressful situation. It is best to link the starting date with a positive event in your life. New moon day is one of the best days to start quitting.
Think about all the benefits that will come to you when you stop smoking, i.e., better health, less mucus discharge from the lungs, cleaner breath, saving money, etc.
Acknowledge your desire to smoke when it comes up by saying to yourself: “I really have the desire to smoke now and I feel free to do so, but right now I decide not to smoke.” When the desire to smoke returns in an hour or so, you may choose to fulfill it this time. This will teach you to consciously accept your desire to smoke, but not always fulfill it. By choosing not to smoke each time the desire emerges, you train your mind to make conscious choices.
Often, your desire to smoke is coupled with clues like drinking a cup of coffee, the ringing of the telephone, waiting for a bus or a taxi, or switching on the television set. Your addiction is a ‘program’ that you have written in your subconscious mind and associated with such clues. As the clues occur, your desire to smoke pops up, too. The next time you want to smoke when the telephone rings, while you drink a cup of coffee, or after you switch on the TV, make the conscious choice to wait for a few minutes until you have the time or opportunity to smoke consciously. Another suggestion is to smoke somewhere in the house or garden where you usually don’t smoke. This will sever the ties to your subconscious and make your decision whether to smoke or not a more conscious one.
Allow your desire to smoke to become quite strong before you actually reach for the cigarette; in other words, you will still have the freedom to smoke but postpone your decision for a while until you really feel the discomfort. Notice where in your body you feel tense, irritable or nervous. It is important to feel how strong your desire to smoke becomes before you light up. Most smokers give into the slightest urge to smoke and do not even notice when they light up. You want to break the pattern of doing things unconsciously.
To make it easier to quit smoking (or any other addiction), drink half a glass (or more) of water (at room temperature) before you choose to smoke a cigarette every time you have the urge to smoke. Physically speaking, the urge to smoke is directly linked to toxins that were deposited in the connective tissues of the body and are now entering the blood, increasing blood thickness. The thickening of blood generally causes irritation, nervousness and anxiety, even panic. Instead of pushing the toxins back into the connective tissues (as they will surely reemerge) drinking a glass of water will make your blood thinner, which will help to remove the toxins from the body. Thus, the urge to smoke lessens each time you do this and eventually disappears altogether.
Finally, your addiction to smoking is not something terrible that you need to get rid of. It is rather an opportunity to train yourself to become the master of your destiny. In this sense, your addiction can become one of the very best teachers you have ever had.Summary of the Technique to Stop Smoking:
Whenever you feel the urge to smoke, repeat to yourself: “I want to smoke now.” This will bring your desire to smoke from your subconscious into your conscious mind and allow you enough time to make the conscious choice of whether to smoke or not to smoke. Drinking half a glass of water also brings the desire into your conscious mind.
Then say to yourself:”I have the free choice to smoke now.” If you do not remind yourself of your inherent freedom of making choices, your subconscious, addicted mind may believe that you can’t smoke anymore and may go into a state of rebellion. This may cause withdrawal symptoms.
If you feel a desperate need to smoke, acknowledge your desire by saying:”I choose to begin smoking again.” Before you reach for a cigarette check whether this is what you really want. Or you may repeat to yourself: “For the moment I accept that I want to smoke, but I choose not to at this time.” Think about how you would feel if you stopped smoking altogether.Follow this simple sequence every time you have the desire to smoke. The technique is fool proof because you cannot go wrong, whatever the outcome. Whether you decide to continue smoking or not, you have begun to become ‘aware’ and exercised your free will – a prerequisite to consciously taking charge of your life. The majority of people who follow this simple program give up smoking within one week, others take a little longer. How long it takes to quit is not important. What is important, though, is that you experience a major positive shift in your thinking and in your attitude towards yourself and others.All the research studies which show that smoking is a hazard to your health have missed the point. 1.  Protect AssetsThis means that by pur­chasing enough insurance to cover the highest judgment one might reasonably be called upon to pay, the consumer has effectively become lawsuit proof.  If the insured does not own much besides the car, and then they should buy only the minimum that the state requires, possibly $10,000 for each person injured, up to a cap of $20,000 for the whole accident. Although one could be sued for more, it is unlikely be  cause there is no chance of payment.  By contrast, a homeowner might want to insure $100,000 for each person injured, with a maximum of $300,000 per accident, or even a straight $300,000 per accident.  The wealthy should consider $500,000 to $1,000,000 worth of coverage or more.  The richer, the more protection needed.

2.  Protect yourselfIf one is hurt by a dri­ver who is uninsured (or under-insured), he/she can be covered by their own policy.  One cannot collect any more than he/she bought to protect the other individual.  A $10,000 cap for the other individual means a $10,000 for the insured also.

  • Protect the InjuredDrivers have a social and moral obligation to every­one else on the road.  If one damages a life they should pay for it.  That means buying a substantial insurance policy even if he/she doesn’t have a lot of assets to protect.

Collision CoverageEssential for new cars, useful as long as a car has sufficient value.  This portion of the policy cov­ers repairs to the insured’s own car after an accident, no matter who caused it.  If the car is totaled and it was fi­nanced, the insured will need the insur­ance to repay the loan.

The price of Collision Insurance de­pends on the size of the deductible. The higher the deductible, the less the insurance will cost.  If the accident wasn’t the insured’s fault, the insured’s insurance company will arrange for the deductible to be paid by the other driv­er’s policy. Colli­sion Insurance is generally written to cover the cars’ Fair Market Value, define its book value (determined by standard tables), minus the cost of making repairs, minus a charge for unusually high mileage.

It would be wise to drop the coverage on cars so old or so dented that their value is nominal.  Our guess is that nominal means something under $15­,000.

Liability for Property Damage - This pays for someone else’s property, usual­ly the car, but sometimes a store front or gasoline pump.  We recommend that consumers at least cover the Fair Market Value of the average car, say $15,000, or $60,000 if one worries about hitting a new Mercedes.  Keep in mind, that the standard minimum is about $10,000 and it will not cost much to upgrade this portion of the liability to at least $25,000 at the same time the insured increased Bodily Injury Liability Cover­age.

Insurance Continuing Education – Medical Case Management

Like Utilization Management, a third party, other than the healthcare provider and the patient, becomes involved in the treatment process and is necessary for Medical Case Management.  While Utilization Management involves only the provider of medical care services, whether hospital, doctor or specialist, Medical Case Management intervenes with both the provider and the patient, taking a much more active role in the treatment process.  Utilization Management is generally a remote activity achieved by paperwork, computers and telephone, with occasional on-site review of medical records and bills.  In Medical Case Management, a lot can also be done by telephone:  gathering information, arrangement for treatment, etc.  It is necessary, in most cases, for a medical care manager to personally communicate with all interested parties in the treatment process; the providers, the patient, and the patient’s family.

Medical Case Management should not be used for routine cases as it is not considered cost effective for commonly used procedures and treatments.  Statistics indicate that 40% of medical care costs are attributed to 3% of the patients – those very seriously ill or injured.  40% of medical costs are attributed to 17% of patients with chronic illnesses.  Applying Medical Case Management to just 20% of the patients allows over 80% of medical care costs to be controlled.  (NOTE:  These statistics illustrate the “Pareto” rule, that states that roughly 80 percent of most events can be attributed to approximately 20% of their causes).

Determining just how cost-effective Medical Case Management is, or can be, is difficult to determine because catastrophic and chronic medical problems involve longer periods of time, called “long-tail claims” in insurance parlance, than other medical care which is usually of a short duration.  Therefore, in catastrophic and chronic cases, the cost savings can only be projected.  People rarely take such projections into serious consideration, as there can be too many events that can completely destroy the estimation.  Therefore, there is really no way to “prove” that the medical case managers can actually effect such savings.  However as a larger data base is created with experience, it appears that such savings are actually realized.

A Registered Nurse (RN) can specialize in one or more of the patient care specialties as per job requirements or personal preferences. The most common specialties have been divided into four main categories, on basis of: Work setting or types of care provided, Disease for which care is provided, Body organ or the system for which care is provided, and the section of population for which care is provided. Certified by “American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)”, employers are usually ambulatory providers such as Primary Care Offices, HMOs, clinics, mobile health units etc. Burn Care Nurses are employed in hospitals with burn departments or clinics providing such services. It can be physically and psychologically draining. Critical Care Nurses are one of the in-demand health care professionals due to their ability to make quick decisions and stay calm, when lives are at stake. They provide care to patients with cardiovascular, respiratory or pulmonary failure, in intensive care hospital units. Emergency/Trauma Nurses are in demand for their ability to make quick decisions about patients’ condition and stay clam while dealing with potential life-threatening conditions caused by accidents, strokes, and heart attacks. Stress and grief pose challenge, while role autonomy, and team work are the characteristics. Certified by “Board Of Certification For Emergency Nurses”, employers are acute-care and specialty hospitals, and emergency medical systems. In addition, they may become Flight nurses providing medical care to patients who are air-lifted for transportation to nearest the medical facility. Holistic Nurses attend to all aspects of wellness and health of a holistic nature, where connection between mind, body and spirit is acknowledged and whole person is treated, rather than caring for just a disease or a symptom. Acupressure, Acupuncture, Massage, Aroma therapy, Yoga, and Biofeedback are performed by a Holistic Nurse. Home Healthcare Nurses provide at-home care to patients in post-operative, post-partum stages or when recovering from accidents. Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses provide care for terminally ill patients outside of hospitals with objective to ease their pain and suffering. They care for physical and emotional needs of dying patients and their family with interventions like pain management, palliative care, symptom management and emotional support. Certified by “National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses”, employers are usually hospices, home health, hospitals and long-term care facilities. Dealing with deaths of all your patients is a big challenge in itself but the feeling of taking care of a dying patient and the opportunity to practice holistic nursing are motivational factors for many. Infusion Nurses provide intravascular medications, fluids, blood products and assess their impact on the condition of patients. Certified by “Intravenous Nurses Certification Corporation”, they are employed by hospitals, home health agencies and in physician offices. Irregular schedules, excessive paper work, and stress are the challenges. While role autonomy in addition to technical mastery are a few of the plus points. Long-term Care Nurses provide nursing, psychosocial and personal care services on a recurring basis to patients with chronic physical or mental disorders. Increasing patient acuity can be a drawback for some but the lesser pressure and chaos is a plus. Medical-Surgical Nurses provide basic health care to patients in all health settings. PeriAnesthesia Nurses prepare patients for a surgical experience, support safe transition out of anesthetized state and provide intensive care to patients until they are ready to be discharged from the perianesthesia care unit. Certification is done by”American Board Of PeriAnesthesia Nursing Certification” Peri-Operative Nurses provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care to patients and assist surgeons in the operation room by handling instruments, controlling bleeding and suturing incisions. Learning opportunities and teamwork are a plus, while frequent emergencies and exposure to human suffering may be a drawback for some. Certified by “CNOR and CRNFA Certification Board Perioperative Nursing”, employers are usually in hospital surgical departments, ambulatory surgical centers, clinics, or a physician’s offices. Psychiatric Nurses care for patients with personality and mental disorders. Uncooperative or dangerous patients may be one of the drawbacks besides restrictive patient-care policies, excessive paper work and a conflict from misconceptions and mental illness. Certification is done by ANCC. Radiologic Nurses provide care to patients undergoing radiation procedures (like Ultrasonography or MRI) for diagnosis or treatment, as in a case of cancers. Rehabilitation Nurses care for patients with temporary, progressive or permanent disabilities which alter normal functions and affect the quality of life. Motivating patients and producing will lead to a fruitful life and is a challenge. Certification is done by ” Rehabilitation Nurses Certification Board”. Transplant Nurses provide care for transplant recipients and living-donors thorughout the process ofthe transplantation. Organ resource allocation and other ethical issues besides loss and grief could be drawbacks towards joining this specialty. RNs may also consider specializing in the following specialties, with major emphasis on the disease, which they plan to provide care for: Addiction Nurses provide care to patients who seek help with alcohol, drug, and marijuana addictions. Developmental Disabilities Nurses help physically,and mentally disabled patients with feeding, controlling bodily functions, and tosit/ stand with the least assistance. Diabetes Management Nurses assist diabetics in disease management by educating them about proper nutrition, blood sugar testing, and insulin self-injection. Genetics Nurses provide screening, early detection, and treatment of patients with genetic disorders including Cystic Fibrosis, Huntington’s disease, Hereditary Brest Cancer, etc. Major challenges are informed decision-making, consent, confidentiality, and dealing with negative outcomes. The certification is done by “International Society Of Nurses in Genetics”. HIV/AIDS Nurses provide care for physical, psychological, spiritual and social suffering of patients diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Safety hazards are a major drawback. Certified by “HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board”, employers usually are in hospices, hospitals, home health care, and long-term care agencies. Oncology Nurses are empathic and caring towards patients diagnosed with cancers. They also administer chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Certification is done by “Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation”. Enterostomal Therapy Nurses, specialized in prevention of pressure ulcers, also provide care to patients with wounds caused by trauma and ulcers; provide post-operative care for patients with alternative methods of bodily waste elimination; and treat patients with urinary and fecal incontinence. RNs can opt for any of the following specialties with emphasis on body organ or system for which they plan to provide care: Cardiac and Vascular Nurses provide care for patients suffering from Coronary heart Disease and post-operative rehabilitation of patients who have undergone cardiac surgery. Patient resistance, noncompliance and emergencies may be problem for few nurses. Certification is done by ANCC. Dermatology Nurses provide education, care for patients with various types of skin ailments, like skin cancers, psoriasis, etc. Gastroenterology Nurses provide care for patients with digestive and intestinal disorders, including ulcers, acid reflux disease, and more. They may be specialized in endoscopic procedures as well. Certification is done by “Certifying Board of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc.” Gynecology Nurses provide care to females with disorders of reproductive system, including endometriosis, cancers and sexually transmitted diseases. Nephrology Nurses provide care for patients with kidney disease and work to preserve renal function. Dealing with emotional impact of renal disease and multi system failures could be problematic for few nurses. Neuroscience Nurses care for patients with nervous system dysfunctions, including brain and spinal cord injuries, seizures, alterations in cognition, communication, sexuality, etc. Ophthalmic Nurses provide care to patients with disorders of the eyes, including cataract and glaucoma. They assist surgeons and may make pre and post-operative home visits. Certified by “National Certifying Board for Ophthalmic Registered Nurses”, employers specialty are hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, HMOs, and home-care agencies. Orthopedic Nurses provide care to patients with muscular and skeletal problems, like arthritis, bone fractures, muscular dystrophy, etc. Certified by “Orthopedic Nursing Certification Board”, employers specialty is hospitals and HMOs. Otorhinolaryngology Nurses care for patients with disorders of the ear,nose and throat, including cleft palate, allergies, and sinus disorders. Respiratory Nurses provide preventive, acute or critical and rehabilitative support to patients with respiratory ailments like asthma, tuberculosis, etc. Urology Nurses provide care for patients with disorders of kidney, urinary tract and male reproductive organs, including infections, stones and cancers. RNs may specialize in any of the following specialties with focus on providing care to a particular section of population: Neonatology Nurses care for neonates. Pediatrics Nurses care for infants, toddlers, children and adolescents. Geriatrics Nurses provide care to the elderly population. Correctional Facilities Nurses provide basic health care to patients in reformatory centers. School Nurses’ role in providing basic health care to patients in schools is well known. Summer Camps Nurses provide basic health care to patients in summer camps, trekking camps and similar. Military Nurses focus on providing basic health care to military personnel and their family. Intentionally Defective Beneficiary Trusts

The benefits of an intentionally defective grantor trust (-œIDGT-) are well known. First, the grantor’s payment of the trust’s income taxes is essentially a tax-free gift to the beneficiaries of the trust. Rev. Rul. 2004-64. Thus, the assets in the trust grow -œtax free-. Second, by paying the income taxes, the grantor is reducing his/her estate by the taxes paid and any future appreciation that would otherwise have been generated on the funds used to pay income taxes. Third, the grantor can sell assets to an IDGT (on installments) without any gain or loss recognition. Sales between a grantor and a grantor trust are disregarded for income tax purposes. Rev. Rul. 85-13. Fourth, a sale to an IDGT of a life insurance policy on the grantor’s life can avoid both the three-year rule and the transfer-for-value rule. Rev. Rul. 2007-13. Fifth, an IDGT qualifies as an eligible S corporation shareholder. IRC Section 1361(c)(2)(A)(i). But, at such time as the IDGT is no longer a grantor trust, the trust must then -œconvert- to a Qualified Subchapter S Trust (-œQSST-) or an Electing Small Business Trust (-œESBT-). Finally, with proper design and drafting, grantor trust status can be -œtoggled- on and off for maximum flexibility. The powers that are typically used to trigger grantor trust status for income tax purposes, but without causing inclusion of the trust’s assets in the grantor’s estate, are the following:

1. The power to substitute trust property with other property of equivalent value. IRC Section 675(4)(c). 2. The power in a non-adverse party to add charitable beneficiaries. IRC Section 674(b)(4). 3. The power to distribute income to the grantor’s spouse. IRC Section 677(a)(1) and (2). 4. The power to use trust income to pay premiums on policies of insurance on the life of the grantor or grantor’s spouse. IRC Section 677(a)(3). 5. The power of the grantor to borrow trust assets without adequate security. IRC Section 675(3). That said, consider turning the tables and drafting the trust so that the beneficiary – and not the grantor – is taxed on the trust income. With an IDGT, the grantor cannot be a beneficiary or a trustee of the trust without adverse estate tax consequences (under IRC Sections 2036 and 2038). But, with an intentionally defective beneficiary trust (-œIDBT-), the beneficiary can be both the primary beneficiary and the trustee of the trust. The reason is that the beneficiary is not the grantor of the trust. Instead, the grantor is usually the beneficiary’s parent or grandparent. Although it may not be cited as precedent, PLR 200949012 provides planners with a road map on how to properly design an IDBT. Following are the facts in PLR 200949012: 1. The grantor proposes to create a trust for the benefit of beneficiary; 2. The beneficiary will be a co-trustee of the trust (along with two independent co-trustees); 3. The beneficiary will have the unilateral power to withdraw all contributions made to the trust. However, this power will lapse each calendar year in an amount equal to the greater of $5,000 or 5% of the value of the trust. 4. The beneficiary will also have the power, during his lifetime, to direct the net income and/or principal of the trust to be paid over or applied for his health, education, maintenance and support (-œHEMS-), and this power will not lapse; 5. The beneficiary will have a testamentary limited (non-general) power of appointment to -œre-write- the disposition of the trust assets upon his death; 6. The trust provides that neither the grantor nor the grantor’s spouse may act as a trustee, and that no more than one-half of the trustees may be related or subordinate to the grantor within the meaning of IRC Section 672(c); and 7. The trust contains various provisions assuring that the grantor will not be treated as the owner of the trust for income tax purposes under IRC Sections 671 – 679. The IRS ruled that the trust did not contain any provisions that would cause the grantor to be considered the owner of the trust for income tax purposes. Instead, the IRS ruled that the beneficiary will be treated as the owner of the trust for income tax purposes – before and after the lapse of the beneficiary’s withdrawal rights. The IRS analysis was as follows: 1. The trust did not contain any grantor trust -œtriggers- under IRC Sections 673 (reversionary interests); 674 (power to control beneficial enjoyment); 675 (administrative powers); 676 (power to revoke); 677 (income for benefit of grantor); or 679 (foreign trusts). 2. Under IRC Section 678, the beneficiary will be treated as the owner because the beneficiary had the right exercisable solely by the beneficiary to vest trust principal or income in himself. In order for a beneficiary to be deemed the owner of a trust (for income tax purposes) under IRC Section 678, the beneficiary must be given the unilateral right to withdraw all income or corpus from the trust and, if such power is -œpartially released-, after the release the beneficiary retains such an interest in the trust that it would be a grantor trust with respect to the real grantor (if the real grantor had retained such interest). But, when the power gradually lapses in its entirety (by $5,000 / 5% per year), is IRC Section 678 status lost? According to PLR 200949012, the answer is -œno-. The ruling apparently treats a -œlapse- as a -œrelease- so that even if the unilateral right to withdraw eventually disappears (by $5,000 / 5% per year), the lapse would be partial only because the power to withdraw for HEMS remains. And the HEMS standard – if available to the grantor – would be a grantor trust trigger under IRC Section 677. Thus, under IRC Section 678, the beneficiary continues to be treated as the owner of the trust. As to the beneficiary’s estate tax consequences, the power to withdraw trust assets for HEMS does not create a general power of appointment and, therefore, does not result in estate tax inclusion. IRC Section 2041(b)(1). But, the unilateral right to withdraw principal is a general power of appointment that will cause the trust assets to be taxed in the beneficiary’s estate (but only to the extent the power has not lapsed under the $5,000 / 5% rule). IRC Section 2041(b)(2). For example, if the grantor contributed $1 million to the IDBT, the unilateral power of withdrawal would lapse in 20 years (i.e., 5% x $1 million = $50,000), or even sooner if the trust assets grew in value. An IDBT works particularly well where the beneficiary has a new business opportunity, but would like to keep the business out of his or her estate. The beneficiary convinces his/her parents or grandparents to give him/her an -œadvance- on his/her inheritance by making a gift to the IDBT. This will allow the beneficiary to operate the business (as the trustee of the IDBT). The beneficiary will also have access to the cash flow of the business, without inclusion in his/her estate (except to the extent the beneficiary’s unilateral withdrawal right has not yet lapsed under the 5% / $5,000 power). The beneficiary can also sell assets to the IDBT without any gain or loss recognition. Finally, the beneficiary’s payment of the IDBT’s income taxes reduces his/her estate and is a -œtax-free- gift to the remaindermen of the IDBT (i.e., the beneficiary’s descendants). In summary, an IDBT allows the beneficiary to achieve virtually all of his/her tax and non-tax planning objectives. When advising clients on estate planning matters, the planner should advise them to consider establishing IDBTs for their children and grandchildren, and/or advise them to ask their parents and grandparents to establish an IDBT for themselves. Interviews How to be un-stump-able!

Have you ever responded to an interview question with, “Ah, that’s a good question…” while your mind goes entirely blank? You may be a perfect fit for a position, but there always seems to be one interview question that you get hung up on. This may frazzle you to the point where you’re so distracted that you blow the rest of the interview. The following are just a few of potential questions that hiring managers may use to stump you, plus our advice to make you un-stump-able!1. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?Questions like this are almost always asked, and you have to be prepared for it. It can be a tricky one, especially in regards to weaknesses. Your weakness should be something realistic, though original, and resolvable. Avoid answers like, “I’m a perfectionist,” or “I’m a workaholic.” These answers imply that to improve your weakness, you have to work sloppily or work less. Be sincere, but be careful: you do not want your weakness to appear so bad that it disqualifies you from the position. Also, remember that no one is perfect, and, in fact, self-professed perfection implies arrogance, so be honest about your weaknesses, and you’ll ace the question!When discussing your strengths, you want to make sure it’s something relevant to the position. For example, speak about personality traits that have resulted in success in your work, such as great communication or teamwork skills. Do not speak about how you are a great snowboarder outside of work. Your strength should be something beneficial for the company or position. Be relevant, but not generic.2. Tell us what you know about the organization.Look at the company’s website and read it! Make absolutely sure you do this. A hiring manager wants you to show interest in what the company does. They’re not looking for you to have all the answers or information, but they would like you to have general knowledge. Complete silence in response to this question implies that all you’re interested in is getting a job, no matter who company is. In this day and age, with all the different social media outlets, you can do research on everything from Google and YouTube to LinkedIn and Twitter. Be familiar with the product or service as well as the company’s values, history, mission statement, and major figure-heads.3. Tell us about yourself.Many people are unsure how to approach this question. There is a fine line between a short generic answer and a novel-length ramble about yourself. This is one of the most common interview questions asked, so you’re going to have to figure out how to walk this fine line without tripping up. The great part about this question is that you can practice and prepare for it at home.In short, you should create a 30-second commercial about yourself.
